Hi, my name is Ezra, but my friends call me David.
Stillleben ([ˈʃtɪlˌleːbən]; eng. Still life) is a personal project to archive the letters in my drawer collected over the past years of studying law, moving to Berlin, finding my life’s purpose and giving it away, falling in and out of love, accepting authority, working through the ashes, dying and be born again.
The letters will gravitate around the following:
Preserving the flame of curiosity and intelligence in adulthood (Creativity)
the truth found – if any – in the history of religious and spiritual practices, from Zoroastrianism to Wokeism (Spirituality & Philosophy)
and the beauty of a well written story (Literature & Film)
I believe that these topics and the practices associated with them, have the power to significantly alter the readers perception of himself and her relationship to the world for the better and deserve to be revisited on a regular basis.
The cadence will thus be, one letter every two weeks.
Outside the internet I work in law.
I am looking for fellow readers, writers, and patrons to work on something greater together. Feel free to reach out and amplify the message by participating in the comment section, subscribing, and sharing the letters with people who might appreciate them.
To get to know me better, I have created this playlist for you to enjoy:
